It’s a Boy!

02 Jul

Here’s the official announcement folks, and we are so excited! The Icleanu name will live on (Cristian is the last boy in his family line with only girl cousins), and Mommy and Layla will have to learn what else to do during the day besides hunting for “fowlers,” dancing in princess dresses, and trying on bracelets.

Merayla was sure it was going to be a boy, and answered, “Boy!” each time we asked her what she thought. She also told me one day that the baby likes green. Another day, she told me there were 2 babies in there (mostly because there were two fat rolls when I was sitting down), haha. And then she said, “Lots of babies in there!” Well, we are hoping for lots of babies some day, but one is good for now. The new arrival is due on October 30th. We haven’t set on a name yet and are finding that boy names are a little harder to come up with. Let us know some of your favorites…

Wooohooooo! I knew it. I finally got an answer. You are pregnant! How exciting. I am so happy for you guys! Oh, a little brother for Merayla. I love her comments about the multitude of babies in your belly, Heidi. HAHA. Kids are awesome. I wish you all the best. How is the pregnancy going? Are you feeling ok?
Happy, happy news. It made my day :)

Congratulations! Yay number 2, this is so exciting, and now you're having a boy! I was surprised although I was kind of expecting to hear some news sometime in the future. Hope everything goes well and I hope that you're not too sick Heidi, I guess that might be over now. It seemed like you did ok with Merayla, and you still look great pregnant. Crazy that we knew you before Merayla and now she's going to be a big sister! I can't believe how big she is and all that curly blond hair she has! Are you guys still living in Provo? We'll be up at Christmas so we'll have to get together. We're so excited for you,
    love Victoria and John

Congratulations!!! After I saw your comment on my blog about being "out of commission" for awhile I rushed over here to see if I'd missed an announcement! We took your blog off of our blogroll when it was messed up and I keep forgetting to add it back on so I don't check your blog very often…I need to add it back on!

Anyway, I'm so excited for you guys! We need to get together now that you're feeling better!

Thanks everyone! It was great to hear from you. I am feeling well now (with this one I was much sicker in the beginning and it lasted a lot longer), and I'm happy to be out of the first 16 weeks. We are all excited, and it is fun to hear a little of what you all are up to too! Keep in touch!

Hey Heidi, thanks for the recipe, I made it the other night and it turned out great! I actually made it when we went over to a friends house and the husband is french, I mentioned that it was called clafoutis and he said that it is a french dessert and his grandmother used to make it. It's made mostly in northern france in the countryside. They thought it was great and it was really fun to have a french dessert. Thanks again!

Felicidades to both of you. You will have, as they say in Argentina, la parejita. I've really loved having a boy so far. Cristian, let me know what schools you decide to apply to. Suerte a los dos.
